University of Liverpool begins admissions for Bengaluru campus; to start batch from 2026

The university offers programmes in computer science, business, biomedical sciences, game design and more at its first UK campus in India; applications close on December 21.

The University of Liverpool has opened admissions to its various programmes at the Bengaluru campus in Alembic. The university’s first India campus will be operational in 2026. Eligible candidates can apply for the courses through the official website at bengaluru.liverpool.ac.uk.

The university will host the application link for admission to various courses until December 21, 2025. Candidates can apply for BSc, MSc, including other programmes such as computer science, business management, accounting and finance, biomedical sciences, and game design.

“The campus will drive fundamental and applied research that addresses shared India-UK priorities such as sustainable development, innovation, digital technologies, and health sciences,” according to the official statement.

The campus is designed for student-centred architecture and includes an experiential zone, flexible modular classrooms, and a collaboration centre.

‘University of Liverpool coming to India’

The launch of the Alembic campus will increase India-UK collaboration in sustainability, digital transformation and health sciences, according to the official press release.

Lucy Everest, chief operating officer of the University of Liverpool, said: “It was a pleasure to visit Bengaluru and Mumbai this week and meet academics, alumni and applicants who are looking forward to the University of Liverpool coming to India.”

The India campus aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and supports India’s goal of boosting higher education enrolment to 50% by 2035 and becoming a global education hub, Everest said.

“We look forward to welcoming the inaugural cohort of talented students in 2026. Alembic City is the perfect place to realise this vision, and our new campus will provide excellent facilities to support their learning journey”, she added.
