A medical student tweeted, “JEE students have received the results for their first attempt. Why NEET aspirants are only suffering from uncertainty and unnecessary trauma?”

Another NEET aspirant complained that it is highly unfair for medical students that not a single clue (about NEET exam dates). The government should take note now.

“Please conduct NEET 2021 twice a year and announce the dates as soon as possible. We deserve at least two chances as JEE aspirants have four chances,” a student tweeted tagging the education minister.

One tweet says that ministers and officials forgot the NEET exam wherein around 16 lakh candidates appear.

NEET 2021: Developments so far

No change in NEET exam pattern: As per a TOI report, the exam pattern of the medical entrance exam will have no change. Amit Khare, secretary, higher education, said that it will be unfair to change anything for the medical students who will appear for NEET 2021.

NEET syllabus remains the same: In a press release issued by the Ministry of Education, it was made clear that NEET 2021 syllabus will remain the same as last year. However, due to deduction in the state board syllabus, NTA will provide internal choices to the candidates for the topics removed.

Increase in total NEET questions: As per the Health Ministry, the NEET question paper will be designed in line with JEE Main 2021, where students have to answer 75 questions out of 90. The medical exam contains 180 questions from physics, chemistry and biology, which may increase this year and aspirants can answer only 180 questions.
