A total 28,63,62 students participated in UP Board Class 10 exam while a total of 25,71,002 participated in the Class 12 exam. 

Out of the total students registered for the exam, 15,48,434 were boys and 12,20,824 were girls. The overall pass percentage for this year stood at 75.52%. While, boys recorded 69.34%, girls outperformed boys and secured 83%.

Out of 31,16,454 registered examinees, a total of 28,63,62 participated in Class 10 exam: 91.88 %.

Compared to UP board Class 10 results last year, pass percentage of boys has increased by 1.39% and there is an increase of 1.65% in pass percentage of girl students.

Out of 27,68,180 examinees registered for Class 12 board exams, a total of 25,71,002 participated - 92.8%.

For smooth and cheating free conduct of examination, More than 3 lakh CCTV cameras with voice recorders were used in nearly 1.43 lakh classrooms at 8755 exam centers.

This is for the first time in 30 years that no question paper was leaked and hence there was no need of re-examination. 

For the first time, a team of 632 officials were constituted for 24*7 surveillance of strong room (where question papers were stored). They conducted 28, 716 inspections at 8753 exam centers.

For the first time, teachers were trained through audio-visual presentation for flawless exam copies checking and marking.

While Shubh Chapra bagged rank 1 in UP Board 12th result 2023, the second rank is shared by Saurabh Gangwar and Anamika both securing 486 marks in UP Board Class 12 exam 2023. Priyanshu Upadhyay, Khushi, and Supriya grabbed the third rank with 485 marks.
