The evaluation schedule for the High School and Intermediate Examinations 2026 has been extended after delays disrupted the process at several centres. The evaluation of answer sheets had started on March 18, 2026 and was supposed to wrap up by April 1, 2026. However, officials found that the work could not be completed on time due to multiple holidays falling during the evaluation period.
Public holidays on March 21, 2026 for Eid-ul-Fitr and on March 26 and 27, 2026 for Ram Navami slowed down the checking process across the state. Several requests were received from District School Inspectors and Deputy Controllers of evaluation centres to extend the deadline.
Considering the situation, the board has now given evaluators a few more days, extending the deadline to April 4, 2026. Officials have asked all centres to use this additional time carefully and complete the checking process properly.
Along with the revised evaluation dates, the board has asked to submit the award lists to regional offices by April 5, 2026.

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad conducted the UP Board Class 10 and Class 12 examinations for the 2026 academic session between February 18 and March 12, 2026 in offline (pen-and-paper) mode across the state.
These exams were held in two shifts each day: a morning shift from 8:30 am to 11:45 am and an afternoon shift from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. With over 52 lakh students registered, out of which around 49.4 lakh students appeared for the exam.
Before the theory exams, practical examinations for Class 10 and 12 were conducted in January and early February 2026 in multiple phases.
Students are required to secure at least 33% marks in each subject to pass. This rule applies to both High School and Intermediate examinations. In subjects that include practicals, Class 12 students must score a minimum of 33% separately in both theory and practical components, while for Class 10, the requirement may be based on combined marks depending on the subject.
