UP NEET UG counselling 2026 merit list out; round 1 allotment for 15,265 MBBS, BDS seats on September 7

The Director General of Medical Education and Training Uttar Pradesh has published the UP NEET UG counselling 2026 round 1 merit list. A total of 31,653 are qualified to fill in their college and preferences for UP NEET round 1 counselling 2026. According to the UP NEET round 1 counselling 2026 dates, candidates can fill in their choices for MBBS and BDS admission by 5 pm on September 5. Candidates who have paid both the UP NEET registration fee and the security money, and whose documents are verified successfully, are eligible for choice filling process.

UP NEET counselling round 1 seat allotment result 2026 will be announced on September 7. Candidates will be able to download the allotment letter and complete the admission process between September 8 and 14.

UP NEET Counselling 2026: Round 1 seat matrix

DME Uttar Pradesh has also published the UP NEET UG counselling 2026 round 1 seat matrix for both private and government medical colleges across the state. As per the UP NEET round 1 seat matrix, a total of 15,265 seat have been offered for MBBS and BDS admission, of which 10,650 are for private medical colleges and 4,615 for govenment medical colleges.

UP NEET Counselling 2026: Security deposit

Uttar Pradesh NEET UG counselling 2026 registration fee of Rs 2,000 must be paid for rounds 1, 2, 3, and a strap vacancy round. Candidates can apply for UP NEET counselling 2026 round 2 on the official website at upneet.gov.in, if a seat is allotted to them.

The security money for the deposition for UP NEET UG 2026 counseling will be payable online as follows:

Moreover, candidates who wish to participate in counseling for seats in both government and private sector medical and dental colleges only need to deposit a security deposit of Rs 2 lakh. Those who wish to participate in counseling for dental college seats in both government and private sectors need to deposit a security amount of only Rs 1 lakh.

After depositing the security amount, candidates must download the receipt of the security deposit. Candidates who have not deposited the security amount will not be eligible for UP NEET round 1 choice filling.
