UP PET 2023: Government directs education institutions in 35 districts not to hold exams on October 28, 29

NEW DELHI: The Uttar Pradesh government has directed educational institutes of 35 districts to not hold any examination on October 28 and 29. The decision has been taken as the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UPSSSC) will conduct UP PET 2023 on October 28 and 29.
The UPSSSC will be conducting the preliminary eligibility test (PET 2023) in two shifts on these days in 35 districts. Additional chief secretary Devesh Chaturvedi in a letter addressed to various state education departments has asked the officials concerned to direct colleges, schools and other institutes in these districts to not hold any examination on these days.
“The decision has been taken to ensure that all registered students can appear for the examination,” the letter said. It also asked the officials to direct heads of schools or education institutions where the UP PET 2023 will be held to declare October 28 as a holiday.
UP PET: Exam pattern
The UP PET 2023 is being held to recruit candidates for Group B and C vacancies. It will be held through online mode. The question paper will consist of two sections – general intelligence and reasoning and general awareness. Each section will carry 50 marks each. Candidates will be allotted one mark for correct response, while 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

The UPSSSC will soon release the PET admit card on the official website - upsssc.gov.in. Candidates can download the admit card for UPSSSC 2023 PET using the registration number and date of birth. Candidates appearing in the UPSSSC PET exam will have to carry the admit and a valid photo Id proof to the exam centre.
