NEW DELHI: Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has requested the candidates and general public to submit reports along with proofs on UP Police Constable paper leak by tomorrow, February 23. Around 244 people have been arrested and detained in connection with the UP Constable exam paper leak case.
The board conducted the UP Police Constable recruitment exam on February 17 and 18 at various exam centres across the state. The exam was marred with issues including poor travel arrangements, paper leak and discrepancies in admit card. The UP Police Constable question paper went viral on social media on February 17. However, the UPPRPB refuted the claims made by aspirants and called the paper leak reports “false”.
Uttar Pradesh police chief Prashant Kumar had recently told the PTI that strict action will be taken against people involved in using unfair means. He also said that the arrests were mostly made before the people accused could execute their plans.
“All the general public and candidates are informed that if they have to submit any representation in this matter, then they should submit their representation along with relevant proofs and evidence in which the name, address, mobile number and Aadhaar number are mentioned, to the e-mail ID- board@uppbpb.gov.in ,” it said in its latest notice.
The report will have to be submitted by 6 pm on February 23. The board also informed that the representations and evidence will be examined to take appropriate action.
The UP Police Constable direct recruitment exam was held to fill 60,244 male and female police constable posts in the Uttar Pradesh police department.
