UP Scholarship 2026-27: Applications open for UG, PG, diploma students at scholarship.up.gov.in

Students pursuing higher education are eligible for financial assistance ranging from Rs 230 to Rs 1,200 per month, depending on the course group and residency status.
The Uttar Pradesh government has opened the UP Government’s Scholarship Scheme for the academic session 2026-27. Students pursuing graduation, postgraduation, diploma, ITI and other courses can apply for UP Scholarship through the official website at scholarship.up.gov.in.
The government has closed the UP Scholarship application portal for Class 9 to 12 students. However, those pursuing courses beyond Class 12 can apply for the UP Scholarship 2026-27 by October 31.
Under the UP government scholarship scheme, pre-matric students will receive financial assistance of Rs 3,000 to Rs 7,000 annually on the basis of their category.

Uttar Pradesh Scholarship Scheme 2026: Category-wise eligibility
Students pursuing higher education are eligible for financial assistance ranging from Rs 230 to Rs 1,200 per month, depending on the course group and residency status.
The scheme covers students from general, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and minority communities, subject to the eligibility conditions for each category.
Moreover, those belonging to SC category, will receive Rs 3,500 as day scholars and Rs 7,000 as residential students, while general-category students are eligible for Rs 3,000 annually.
Notably, the scholarship amount will be transferred to the students through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

UP Scholarship 2026: How to apply
Students can follow the steps given below to apply for the UP Scholarship 2026-27.
- Go to the official website at scholarship.up.gov.in.
- Complete the registration.
- Select the applicable scholarship category.
- Choose a fresh or renewal application.
- Fill in the required details and provide the documents.
- Press the submit icon and download the applied form.
The UP government will scrutinize the scholarship applications through institutional verification and other stages before disbursing the scholarship amount.
