According to the state board, a fake account under the name of the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad Prayagraj (@upmspofficial) has been created on the social media platform 'X' where comments regarding the UP Class 10, 12 board exams 2025 have been posted.
“Under the Cyber Crime Act, there is a provision of a fine of lakhs and imprisonment for those who create fake accounts in the name of Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council Prayagraj on social media and spread fear and misleading information among the students,” said UPMSP in a post on X.
Such fake accounts created in the name of the UP board and spreading false information or rumors by using the names of the Parishad’s officials can lead to confusion among the examinees and also affect the credibility of UPMSP, it said.
Asking the director general of police to take action, the board secretary said, “Therefore, you are requested to take action against those who create fake accounts on social media and spread misleading rumors, under the relevant sections of the Uttar Pradesh Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, for the smooth conduct of the board exams.
Earlier too, the board informed about the fake account via social media and said that strict action is being taken against those who create fake accounts using the name or logo of the Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad and spread false information related to the board exam 2025.
UPMSP also informed that the official website of the Parishad, upmsp.edu.in, as well as the official social media handles of X, Instagram, YouTube (@upboardpryj), and the Facebook page Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad Uttar Pradesh, are used for disseminating information and updates related to the UP board exams 2025.
Additionally, for the immediate and definite resolution of queries or complaints from students, parents, or guardians, the Parishad has set up a 24×7 helpline (Toll-Free numbers 18001805310 and 18001805312) at its headquarters in Prayagraj.
