The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has extended the last date to apply for the Uttar Pradesh Combined State/ Upper Subordinate Services (PCS) examination 2026. Applications for the UPPSC PCS 2026 recruitment process started on June 25 and eligible candidates must complete the UPPSC PCS 2026 registration process on or before August 3, 2026.

Through this recruitment drive, 500 vacancies across various administrative services in the state will be filled.

UPPSC PCS Recruitment: Eligibility, application fee

Candidates must have a graduation degree from a recognised university to be eligible for the UPPSC PCS registration process 2026. They should also be between the ages of 21 and 40 years as on July 1, 2026. Relaxation in the upper age limit is only applicable for reserved category candidates as per Uttar Pradesh government rules.

UPPSC PCS 2026: Selection process

The selection process for UPPSC PCS 2026 consists of three stages, which include preliminary, main examination and interview (personality test). Candidates must qualify each stage to be considered for final appointment.

Candidates should submit their applications before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical glitches and ensure all required details and documents are uploaded successfully.

The UPPSC PCS examination is conducted for recruitment to several prestigious Group A and Group B posts in the Uttar Pradesh government, including positions such as Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Block Development Officer (BDO) and other administrative services.
