UPSC CAPF result 2026 announced; 1,826 qualify for PET

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the results for Central Armed Police Force (Assistant Commandants) CAPF. Aspirants who appeared in the exam can check and download the result PDF from the official website upsc.gov.in. The written test was conducted on August 3, and selected candidates will have to appear for physical standards test/ physical efficiency tests.
Qualified candidates must know that their candidature is provisional till they are found eligible in all respects. Candidates must present original documents supporting their eligibility and reservation claims—such as age, educational qualifications, community status, and EWS category—at the time of the Personality Test. They are advised to keep these documents ready in advance.
Those seeking reservation or relaxation benefits under SC, ST, OBC, EWS, Ex-Servicemen or any other category must ensure that their original certificates were issued on or before the CAPF (ACs) Examination 2025 application closing date, i.e., March 25, 2025.
As mentioned in the official notification, the Commission has provided a window of 15 days from the date of announcement of results (i.e. April 10). The qualified candidates will now have to update their details/educational qualification status (whether appearing/appeared) and to produce/upload the proof of passing of the requisite qualifying examination at the specified portal. In case they fail to do so, they will not be allowed to appear in the interview/ personality test.
UPSC CAPF Result 2026: Steps to check
Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps to check result pdf.
- One should go to the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in
- On homepage, candidates should go to the 'what's new' section
- Click on the link that reads, 'Central Armed Police Forces (ACs) Examination, 2025-Written Result (with name)'
- Result PDF will open up on screen
- Go through the same and download it
- Use CTRL+F to look for your roll number
Official notification on UPSC website reads, "In this period, all the candidates qualified for Physical Standards Tests/ Physical Efficiency Tests shall also be provided an option to update Correspondence/ Permanent Postal Address, Higher Educational Qualification, Achievement in different fields (if any), Employment Details/Service Experience, details of the Service/Force allocated on the basis of earlier/previous Central Armed Police Force (ACs) Examinations (if any) and Preference of forces for the current examination. The details updated in this window will be treated as final, and no request for any change in these fields received through any other mode will be entertained."
The Nodal Authority, i.e. ITBP, will release the admit cards for qualified candidates now. Candidates will have to carry admit card and a hard copy of the finally submitted DAF and photo identity proof to the allotted centers for appearing at the PST/PET.
