UPSC IAS 2023: DAF 1 application begins at upsc.gov.in; apply by July 19
Candidates need to log in through the OTR portal to fill out and submit the DAF 1.

NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission started the online process of UPSC Indian Administrative Service Detailed Application Form 1 (IAS DAF 1). UPSC DAF 1 is available on the official website - upsc.gov.in. Candidates who qualified for the preliminary examination can fill UPSC IAS DAF 1. The last date to fill out DAF is July 19 till 6 PM.
Earlier, the commission declared the result of the preliminary examination on June 12. Qualified candidates need to log in through the OTR portal to access and submit the DAF 1.

It is important to note that the submission of DAF 1 does not automatically guarantee admission to the civil services Main exam 2023. The e-admit card, along with the timetable for the examination, will be uploaded on the UPSC website for eligible candidates approximately three to four weeks before the commencement of the exam.
Candidates are advised to immediately inform the commission of any changes in their postal address, email address or mobile number after submitting the form.
UPSC IAS DAF 1 2023: Steps to fill
In order to fill out the UPSC IAS DAF 1 2023, candidates need to follow the below steps-
- Open the official website - upsc.gov.in.
- Candidates have to register first by furnishing the required details.
- After the UPSC IAS DAF 1 registration, login credentials will be sent to the candidate’s mobile number and email.
- Log in by using the credentials and fill out the application form.
- Upload documents and submit the UPSC IAS 2023 DAF 1.
