NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has commenced the registration process for the Indian Economic Service/ Indian Statistical Services Exam (IES, ISS) 2025. Candidates can register for UPSC IES, ISS 2025 through the official website upsc.gov.in. As per the schedule, the UPSC IES, ISS 2025 application window will remain open till March 4, 2025.
Following the registration deadline, the commission will begin the UPSC IES, ISS application correction facility on March 5. Successfully registered candidates will be able to edit their application forms through the correction facility.
The UPSC IES, ISS application correction window will close on March 11, 2025. The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 47 vacancies, of which 12 vacancies for Indian Economic Service and 35 for Indian Statistical Service.
UPSC IES, ISS 2025: Eligibility criteria
Indian Economic Service (IES): Interested candidates must have a postgraduate degree in economics, applied economics, business economics, or econometrics from a recognised university or institute in India or abroad, approved by the central government.
Indian Statistical Service (ISS): Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematical statistics, or applied statistics as one of the subjects or a master’s degree in statistics, mathematical statistics, or applied statistics from a recognised university or institute in India or abroad, approved by the central government.
UPSC IES, ISS 2025 application fee
The UPSC IES, ISS application 2025 fee is Rs 200 for general or unreserved category candidates. While females, SC, ST, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates are exempted from paying application fee.
Candidates can pay the UPSC IES, ISS application fee by using vis, master, RuPay credit, debit card, UPI payment or by using internet banking of any bank.
Applicants who opt for "Pay by Cash" mode should print the system generated Pay-in- slip during part II registration and deposit the fee at the counter of SBI Branch on the next working day only. "Pay by Cash” mode will be deactivated at 11:59 pm of March 3, 2025.
