The new UPSC official website has four parts namely — account creation, universal registration, common application form, and examination. All four are arranged in four separate cards on the homepage.
Candidates, new to the UPSC official website, will have to create their account, by selecting the first option. The initial three steps are common to all exams conducted by the commission. Therefore, candidates will be allowed to fill these details anytime.
The fourth part - examination - will have exam notification, registration form, and application status. “Only examination specific information is to be filled up in this part by candidates during the time period allowed in the notification of an examination,” it said.
“This arrangement will facilitate candidates to fill up the first three parts anytime and keep ready for applying to any UPSC examination whenever notified with updates as may be required, thereby saving time and avoiding last minute rush,” the UPSC said.
The commission has advised applicants to use their Aadhaar card as an ID document in the universal application for easy verification and authentication of identity.
The UPSC CDS, NDA, and NA-II exam schedule was notified recently on upsc.gov.in. Candidates are required to submit their application through the new official website only.
