UPSSSC has announced the ASO and ARO mains shortlisting result for 1,565 vacancies; shortlisted candidates will appear for the mains exam
The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has declared the ASO mains exam shortlisting result 2026 on the official website of UPSSSC at upsssc.gov.in. To access the scores, applicants need to enter the details, including registration number, date of birth, gender and verification code.
This result is for the applicants who applied for the Assistant Statistical Officer (ASO) and Assistant Research Officer (ARO) recruitment. The recruitment drive is being conducted for 1,565 vacancies, following an increase from the earlier notified 929 posts.
The selection process will be conducted in multiple stages, beginning with the shortlisting of candidates on the basis of their PET scores. Shortlisted candidates will then be required to appear for the mains examination, followed by document verification and a medical examination before the final selection is announced.

To check the UPSSSC ASO mains exam shortlisting result 2026, follow the steps given below:
- Visit the official website of UPSSSC at upsssc.gov.in
- On the homepage, click on the ‘candidates shortlisted for the Main Examination under Advertisement No. 05-Exam/2026 (Assistant Statistical Officer / Assistant Research Officer (Statistics) Main Examination (Prelim Exam-2025)/06) should click here to view their results’ link
- On the new page, click on the link that reads, "Click here to View shortlisted candidates results for Mains Examination under the advertisement 05-Exam/2026."
- Enter the details, including registration number, date of birth, gender and verification code
- The result will appear on the screen
- Download the result and take a printout for further reference
UPSSSC ASO Mains Exam 2026: Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the recruitment process, candidates had to meet the criteria specified in the official notification. Applicants were required to possess a valid UP Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) score along with the educational qualifications prescribed for the respective posts.

They also had to fall within the age limit of 21 to 41 years and satisfy the applicable nationality and reservation requirements. Only candidates fulfilling all eligibility conditions were shortlisted for the mains examination and subsequent stages of the selection process.
