UPSSSC PET 2026 on October 23, 24, 25; exam to be held in two shifts daily

UPSSSC PET 2026 written examination will be conducted across three days, with the first shift scheduled from 10 am to 12 noon and the second from 3 pm to 5 pm.
The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has announced the schedule for the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2026. According to the examination schedule released by the commission, the written examination will be conducted on October 23, 24 and 25, 2026.
The UPSSSC sarkari examination will be conducted in two shifts on each of the three days. The first shift will be held between 10 am and 12 noon, while the second shift will take place between 3 pm and 5 pm. Each shift will be conducted for a duration of two hours. Candidates appearing for the examination will be allotted a specific shift and examination centre through hall ticket. The exact centre details, reporting time and other examination-related instructions will be mentioned on the admit card.
The commission has not yet announced the release date of the UPSSSC PET 2026 admit card. The commission will also provide examination-related instructions through its official portal.
Candidates can check the UPSSSC PET 2026 examination schedule through the commission’s official website. They need to visit the Notice Board or Latest Updates section and look for the notification related to the PET 2026 exam date and schedule.
UPSSSC PET 2026 exam pattern
Uttar Pradesh PET is a qualifying examination conducted by the commission for recruitment to various Group B and Group C posts. The test consists of 100 multiple-choice questions carrying a total of 100 marks. For each correct answer, one mark will be awarded and for incorrect answer 0.25 will be deducted.
The examination covers subjects including Indian History, Indian National Movement, Geography, Indian Economy, Indian Constitution and Public Administration, General Science, Elementary Arithmetic, General Hindi, General English, Logic and Reasoning, Current Affairs and General Awareness.
The paper also includes questions on the analysis of Hindi unseen passages, graph interpretation, and table interpretation and analysis. Current Affairs, General Awareness, Hindi unseen passages, graph interpretation and table interpretation each carry 10 marks, while the other listed subjects carry five marks each.
