CJP backs UPSSSC aspirants’ waiting list demand; Akhilesh Yadav promises action

The Cockroaches of India (CJP) has urged the Uttar Pradesh government to implement a waiting list system in recruitments conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC), saying the demand has been pending for several years. CJP also alleged that the Deputy Chief Minister merely interacted with the aspirants over the phone and sent them back, while calling for the introduction of a waiting list system in UPSSSC recruitments.

CJP posted on X, “This demand of the aspirants has been ongoing for many years, but the current government is not willing to listen, The Deputy CM just plays phone-phone and sends the aspirants back, I urge the government to swiftly implement a waiting list in UPSSSC and deliver justice.”

Akhilesh Yadav promises action

The demand also received support from Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav. In a post on X, Yadav addressed UPSSSC aspirants and said their demand for a waiting list system in all UPSSSC recruitments was justified.

In a post on X, UP minister Akhilesh Yadav said UPSSSC aspirants had been raising the demand for a waiting list system for many years. The minister alleged that the current government was not willing to listen to the aspirants and urged the government to take swift action on the issue.

Yadav explained that under such a system, if a candidate selected for a post vacates the seat, the position could then be offered to another candidate. He said such a mechanism could benefit lakhs of aspirants.

UP minister also said that the issue was particularly important for unemployed aspirants who have been waiting for jobs. He criticised the BJP government over unemployment and said the energy of young people was being spent on repeated pleas for work and employment.

Yadav said he and his party stood with UPSSSC aspirants and would support their demands. He further said that the Samajwadi Party was committed to fulfilling the waiting list demand if it forms the next government.
