Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment 2025: Registrations begin for 537 SI, ASI posts; apply by January 19

The Uttar Pradesh Police and Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPBPB) has hosted the application link for Sub-Inspector (SI) and Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) posts on its official website at uppbpb.gov.in. Eligible candidates can register for SI, ASI (clerk) and ASI (accountant) posts by January 19, 2026.

The board will fill a total of 537 posts in the UP Police through the recruitment drive, including 122 sub inspectors, 311 assistant sub inspectors (clerk), and 114 assistant sub inspectors (account).

“Each applicant must register with a unique Email ID and a unique Mobile Number, which will be unchangeable during the examination process,” the official notification reads.

Applicants will have to use their Aadhaar, DigiLocker, Driving License, PAN or Passport to complete their registration. “Only the details recorded in the 10th standard or equivalent certificate will be considered valid for OTR purpose,” the notification said.

UPPBPB Recruitment 2025: Registration fee, selection process

Applicants must know that the name, gender and date of birth entered during the registration process must exactly match with the information in the 10th standard or equivalent certificate.

The UPPBPB registration fee for SI and ASI posts is Rs 500 for general, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates. The fee for Scheduled Caste (SC), and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates is Rs 400.

Notably, the registration charges should be submitted through an online mode only. As per the selection process, candidates will have to appear for a physical efficiency test or physical standard test, followed by a written exam.

The SI and ASI written test will consist of 4 sections, including general Hindi, computer science, general knowledge, general subject, numerical ability, and logical, mental ability subject.

The test will be held for 2 hours and 30 minutes and include 200 questions, carrying 400 marks.
