NEW DELHI: The Vignana Jyothi Institute of Management (VJIM) held the 29th convocation at its Bachupally campus. Director general (missiles and strategic systems) of the Defence Research and Development Organisation U Raja Babu was the chief guest on the occasion.
He delivered the convocation address and awarded meritorious students. Congratulating the students, Babu said, “As you graduate from the institution, you are not only entering into your next stage of life but also a world of many new opportunities. It is up to you how you utilise these opportunities and embark on the new journey.”
He added that successful leaders plan, collaborate and execute the task with suitable risk mitigation plans. “Be ambitious and set high standards. Unless your goal is optimistic you will not have the motivation to excel. To be competitive in the world you need to be innovative, you need to be more creative in thinking, especially out-of-the-box thinking,” Babu said.
VJIM president Daggubati Suresh Babu applauded the efforts of the institution management for realising the academic and career objectives of every student. “It is indeed a momentous occasion for the students and parents. My heartfelt congratulations to all of you and a special commendation for those receiving awards and medals for their outstanding achievements,” he said.
VJIM is progressing in the right direction as the business school has partnered with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT Bangkok) and Harvard Business Publishing, he added.
IIM Ahmedabad professor Vishal Gupta was the guest of honour on the occasion. He emphasised on the quality business management education and the opportunities being generated in the field of management.
He also spoke about the recent trends which have taken place in business management education and asked the students to be vigilant with the trends. He advised the students to understand and be well equipped with the new technology and follow the latest trends to be successful in careers.
VJIM director P Srinivas Subbarao in his address welcomed the guests and thanked the management for their support. “VJIM provides value- based quality education. The institute strongly believes that to achieve high standards in education calls for competent faculty and VJIM strives to attract, retain, and train faculty of high calibre,” he added.
