CBSE Board Exam 2025 LIVE: Class 10 science paper leak claims ‘fake’; paper had ‘unexpected’ questions

CBSE Class 10 students found the Science paper easy. A student who appeared for the 2025 exam mentioned that nearly 70% of the questions were focused on chemistry.

As per CBSE Class 10 students, the Science paper was easy. A student who appeared for the CBSE Class 10 science exam 2025 said the paper was focused on chemistry, making up about 70% of the questions.

The CBSE Class 10 question paper will be distributed to students at 10:15 am, with 15 minutes allocated for reading. Writing will begin at 10:30 am. Exams will be conducted from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.

Section A included a mix of understanding and skill-based multiple-choice questions. Section B had five reasoning-based questions. Section C required critical thinking with an analytical approach. Section D tested conceptual knowledge. Section E was case study-based, covering objective questions on topics such as electric circuits, growth movements, and metals and non-metals. 

As per CBSE Class 10 passing criteria for 2025, students must secure at least 33% overall and separately in practical and theory exams to qualify.

Shiven Raj, a Class 10 student of JAIN International Residential School, shared his thoughts on today's Science paper, stating that the exam was easy. "The exam we wrote today was easy and enjoyable to answer. Some competency-based questions made us think harder. Overall, the paper had a good mix of challenging and easy questions," he said.

According to Nisha Sharma, science teacher at KIIT World School, Gurgaon, the section-wise distribution of questions in today's CBSE Class 10 science exam is as follows. 

• Section A: 16 multiple-choice questions and 4 assertion-reasoning questions (1 mark each)
• Section B: 6 short-answer questions (2 marks each)
• Section C: 7 short-answer questions (3 marks each)
• Section D: 3 long-answer questions (5 marks each)
• Section E: 3 case/source-based questions (4 marks each)

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has commenced Class 10 science paper 2025 at 10:30 am. The exam will be held till 1:30 pm. 

A CBSE Class 10 science student Bhavleen Kaur said, "I am confident and nervous at the same time. I am a bit worried about physics, but I am very confident about chemistry and biology. I hope to score about 70."

The girl students are strong in mathematics, English, and science and mostly prepared through self-study, said the mothers of candidates.
