Download NowNEW DELHI: West Bengal Board is expected to announce the revised exam schedule for Class 10 and 12 today, according to a News18 report. The board was expected to hold a meeting on board exams today, but it has been rescheduled to a later date.

As per the report, education minister of West Bengal Bratya Basu in a meeting with Kalyanmoy Gangopadhyay, president of the Board of Secondary Education, and Mahua Das, president of the Higher Education Board analysed the whole situation. The minister also considered various proposals made by the boards. A decision is yet to be made today on the WB Board exams 2021.
Recently, Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamta Banarjee said that the WB HS and Madhyamik exams 2021 will be held in the month of July and August respectively, following the COVID- 19 safety protocols.
According to the minister, “Class 12 board exams will be held in the last week of July and Class 10 board exams will be conducted in the second week of August.”
This year, the exams will be held for 90 minutes only for the major subjects. About 8.5 lakh students will be appearing in Class 12 exams, while approximately 12 lakh students will be appearing in Class 10.
West Bengal Class 10 exams 2021 were scheduled to be held from June 1 to 10, 2021. The WBCHSE exams 2021 were scheduled from June 15 to July 2, 2021. Both the exams were postponed due to an exponential rise in the Covid-19 cases in the state.
