West Bengal HS Result 2023 (OUT) Live: WBCHSE 12th results at wbresults.nic.in; 89.25% pass, 2024 exam dates

From the next year's exams, the responsibility of conducting the Class 12 exams West Bengal board will be on the schools. The WB Class 12 exam timings will also change from next year. Usually held from 10 am to 1 pm, the WB 12th exams in 2024 will be conducted from 12 noon to 3 pm.

A total of 8,52,444 students registered for the West Bengal Class 12 exam this year. Of the total, as many as 8,24,891 students have been declared qualified. The overall pass percentage of girl students is 81.26%, while it is 91.86% in boys.

To access the WB result 2023 Class 12 marks, students will have to use their rolls, numbers and captcha codes.

The WB result HS toppers subject combination was Bangla, English, economics, maths, statistics and computer science.

The HS result 2023 West Bengal topper list has been announced along with the declaration of WB results 2023.

The Higher Education and School Education Department Minister Bratya Basu has congratulated the students who fared well in the Class 12 exams.

Sharing a social media post, Basu said: "The result of Higher Secondary Examination 2023 has been published today. The pass rate is 89.25%. My heartiest congratulations and best wishes to the successful students. I wish you to be very accomplished, be a good person, shine the face of Bengal and Bengalis."

For the 2023-24 WB Class 12 exams, the board exam responsibility will be on the schools. The Class 12 West Bengal exams will be held between February 16 and 29.

While announcing the WB results Class 12, Chiranjib Bhattacharjee, president, WBCHSE said, the board used RFD hand-held device and metal detector to prevent students from carrying mobile devices.

55 distribution centres will be set up to give the WB results marksheets and certificates to the schools.

The WB Class 12 result topper is Sudhanshu Sarkar. Sarkar scored 496 marks.

In one of the questions in West Bengal Class 12 Bengali paper, candidates were told to write an essay on Netaji Subash Chandra Bose keeping four points in mind, one of which was his ICS exam clearance. The paper, however, mentioned 'IAS' instead of 'ICS'. WBCHSE said that the mistake crept into the paper during proof-reading, and the original one did not carry the misinformation.

A total of 272 students including 144 boys and 128 girls were placed in top 10 in the merit list of West Bengal Class 12 exams last year. 

The West Bengal government has formed a 14-member committee to explore the possibility of introducing a diploma course in medicine, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had proposed the course to make up for the lack of doctors.

In West Bengal Class 12 exams last year, 88.44% students passed. A total of 7,44,655 appeared for exams while a total of 7,20,862 students passed.

After images of "leaked WB class 12 paper" surfaced on the internet, the WB education board clarified that this could not be termed a paper leak and described it as an act of mischief. The images were apparently circulated long after the exam had begun, when it was almost nearing close, said  Council President Chiranjib Bhattacharya.

The full form for the WB HS test is Higher Secondary School Certificate exam. 

The students need to secure a minimum 30 per cent marks to get pass in the West Bengal Higher Secondary, Class 12 exam 2023. 

 Students can also check their results by downloading the Mobile App ‘WBCHSE Results 2023’ from Google Play Store.

Candidates will be able to check their WB HS result 2023 tomorrow. The link will be activated at 12:30 PM on the official website- wbresults.nic.in. 

The total marks in WB HS exam is 100 per paper. Of this, 70 marks are for theory exams while 30 marks are for practical exams.
