West Bengal Police Recruitment 2024: Registration opens for 10,255 vacancies from March 7; elegibility

NEW DELHI: The West Bengal Police Recruitment Board (WBPRB) has issued a notification for the recruitment of constables in West Bengal Police 2024. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the West Bengal Police Constable Recruitment 2024 by visiting the official website at prb.wb.gov.in.

West Bengal police constable recruitment 2024 application forms will be accepted online from March 7. Candidates can submit their application form by April 5, 2024. The WBPRB aims to fill a total of 10,255 constable vacancies through this recruitment campaign, out of which 7,228 are for males and 3,027 for females.

The West Bengal police constable recruitment 2024 selection process consists of written examination followed by Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Interview.

• The candidates must be at least 18 years old and no older than 30 as of January 1st, 2024. The upper age limit is relaxed for restricted categories.
• The candidate must have completed the Madhyamik examination conducted by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent.
• Applicants must be able to speak, read, and write Bengali, with the exception of permanent inhabitants of the Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts' hill subdivisions. For them, the regulations of the West Bengal Official Language Act of 1961 apply.
