PM Modi to hand over social media accounts to women achievers; CMs urge to empower women

Women's Day: AP chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu announced support for women entrepreneurs via Ratan Tata Innovation Hub.
NEW DELHI: Prime minister Narendra Modi paid tributes to 'Nari Shakti' on International Women's Day and reaffirmed his government's commitment to women's empowerment through various schemes and programmes. He also reiterated that women achievers from various fields would be taking over his social media accounts for the day. "We bow to our Nari Shakti on #WomensDay! Our government has always worked for empowering women, reflecting in our schemes and programmes.
Today, as promised, my social media properties will be taken over by women who are making a mark in diverse fields," Modi said in a post on X. This is not the first time that women achievers will be taking over the PM's social media accounts. On International Women's Day in 2020, Modi's social media accounts were operated by seven women achievers, providing them a global platform to inspire others.
Andhra CM Naidu urges women to embrace AI
Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday urged women to embrace Artificial Intelligence , calling it the "technology of the future". Addressing a women’s entrepreneurship conference in Vijayawada, Naidu said women could explore the potential of AI-powered cooking at home. "Imagine AI-powered cooking at home, where you can program your meals remotely while returning from the office, and your food is ready by the time you arrive. Such innovations can transform lives, especially for women who often shoulder household responsibilities,” he said.
Encouraging women-led innovation and entrepreneurship , Naidu announced that any woman with a business idea would receive structured support through the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub initiative. Calling on women to embrace innovation and pursue their ambitions relentlessly, Naidu pledged that the government would stand firmly by them. Further, he added that promising ideas would be tested and nurtured for success. Ratan Tata Innovation Hub will bolster entrepreneurship and also commemorate the legacy of the former Tata Group chief, who passed away last year. Earlier, Naidu stated that the hub would foster innovation and be guided by reputed business groups to facilitate technological and skill upgrades in emerging sectors.
Women's Day: Goa CM urges people to pledge to uplift women
Goa Chief Minister extended his greetings on International Women's Day on Saturday and urged people to reaffirm their commitment to building a world where every woman and girl has the power to dream, achieve and lead. In a post on his 'X' handle, Sawant said, "On #InternationalWomensDay, let us reaffirm our commitment to building a world where every woman and girl has the power to dream, achieve, and lead!" He said the year's theme, rights, equality and empowerment for all women and girls, "inspires us to overcome challenges, embrace diverse opportunities, and create a future where everyone is treated with dignity and fairness". "From being homemakers to aircraft pilots, and from being teachers to being bureaucrats; our women are leading the future," he said, urging people to pledge to support, uplift, and empower women every step of the way.
