Woxsen University establishes One India Outreach office at ZPHS Kamkole

The Woxsen University outreach office is part of a student-led initiative to provide opportunities to earn sustainable income and lead healthy life.
NEW DELHI: Woxsen University, Hyderabad has establishes one One India Outreach office at ZPHS, Kamkole that aims to help people from rural areas in the university's vicinity.
The university has also launched multiple initiatives such as rural entrepreneurship project, street cause, rotaract club and transforming rural youth (TRY). The One India Outreach office has been established as a part of Woxsen University's student-led initiative, TRY.

The the outreach office aims to provide opportunities to earn sustainable income and lead a healthy life for people living in rural areas. "The core objectives of Woxsen University One India Outreach Office align with the university’s vision to provide a world-class education to students and create a more inclusive, diverse and equitable society," said a Woxsen University press statement.
Core objectives of Outreach Office
- provide support and mentorship to students and help them achieve academic and professional goals,
- pursue entrepreneurship
- upskilll small scale business owners and educate them to bridge skill gaps
- Identify and help rural entrepreneurs by incubating their ideas through Woxsen University's incubation centre.
- Identify major problems in rural areas and address them in coordination with government agencies.
- Creating awareness in rural areas on government scheme that will provide institutional platforms and financial aid.
Speaking about Woxsen University's focus on ethics, responsibility and sustainability, Woxsen University, vice resident, Raul V Rodriguez, said: “India is on the cusp of a new era of economic growth and development, and Woxsen University is committed to playing a leading role in this transformation. The entire Woxsen community is focused on rural upliftment and societal development, as well stated in one of the core fundamental pillars of Woxsen, i.e., ERS (Ethics, Responsibility and Sustainability).”
