WUDAT 2026 dates announced. Apply for WUD UG, PG admissions via aptitude test on April 11–12; eligibility, courses, placement
The World University of Design (WUD) has announced the admission process for its undergrad and post postgrad program for 2026-27 academic year. The admission will be conducted through the WUD Aptitude Test (WUDAT) 2026, scheduled to be held online on April 11 and 12, followed by a campus interview for shortlisted candidates.
Admissions include programmes across design, business, architecture, fashion, communication, and visual and performing arts. The university has updated its curriculum, especially at the postgraduate level, to better match current industry trends.
Students will be exposed to interdisciplinary learning, industry-led projects, and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence. The programmes are also aligned with NEP 2020, allowing for more flexible and customised academic pathways.

WUD eligibility, placements and industry exposure
For undergraduate programmes, candidates must have at least 50% in Class 12 and clear an aptitude test and interview. While scores from exams such as UCEED, NID, NIFT, and JEE are accepted for certain courses, WUD’s own admission process ensures equal opportunity for students from all streams.
Applicants are encouraged to submit creative work such as portfolios or photographs, although prior experience in design is not mandatory.
The WUD places strong emphasis on hands-on learning through live projects, internships, global collaborations, and mentorship. This approach helps students gain practical exposure and build industry-ready skills during their studies.
The university’s focus on real-world learning is reflected in its placement outcomes, with many students securing pre-placement offers through their graduation projects.
Located in Sonipat, Haryana, in the Delhi NCR region, WUD continues to position itself as a leading institution for interdisciplinary and creative education, with a focus on preparing students for evolving career landscapes.
WUD Courses: Focus on emerging careers and BTech CSD
Among the key additions this year is the BTech in Computer Science and Design (CSD) programme, which combines coding skills with design thinking. The course is aimed at preparing students for roles in areas such as user experience, digital product design, and AI-driven systems.
What sets this programme apart is its accessibility to students from both science and non-science backgrounds who are interested in working at the intersection of technology and creativity.
Speaking about the changing career landscape, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Vice-Chancellor, World University of Design, said, “Many students today find themselves at a crossroads after board results—especially those who may not wish to pursue conventional paths. At WUD, we encourage students to look beyond labels like Science, Commerce or Arts, and instead discover where their curiosity and strengths truly lie. Design education today is not about drawing alone, it is about solving real-world problems, creating meaningful experiences, and shaping the future across industries.”
