NEW DELHI: XLRI Jamshedpur will be conducting the XAT exam today, January 8, 2023. The XAT 2023 exam will be conducted in Computer-based test mode. Candidates must keep ready the XAT admit card 2023 with themselves in order to appear for the XAT exam today. This is one of the most reputed exams right after the CAT exam. With the CAT exam conducted on November 27, many MBA aspirants are appearing in the XAT exam today to ace this exam and score in top B-schools of the nation.

XLRI has announced certain changes previously which must be kept in the minds of the candidates. The authorities have decided to change the XAT exam timings. XAT exam time is now 2.00 PM to 5.30 PM instead of 9.30 AM to 12.40 PM. Previously, the XAT 2023 exam was to be conducted in the morning session. The XAT 2023 exam duration is 3 hours and 30 minutes which remains the same.

XAT 2023: Exam day guidelines

Carry XAT admit card: It is important for candidates to produce XAT 2023 admit card in order to appear for the XAT exam. XLRI Jamshedpur has asked the candidates to carry at least two hard copies of the XAT 2023 admit card.

Report on time: It is advisable for XAT aspirants to be at the exam centre of XAT at least one hour before the given exam time. XAT admit card has the reporting time mentioned on it which must be adhered to by the candidate to avoid any cancellation of the exam on the XAT exam day.

Cross-check your answers: XAT aspirants are suggested to check and cross-examine their attempted questions and their respective answers to avoid any confusion or panic in the last few minutes of the exam. The XAT exam pattern also has a policy of negative marking of -0.25 mark which must be considered by the candidate while attempting the XAT question papers. Negative marks of -0.10 will also be awarded for every unattempted question after 8 unattempted questions.

No electronic gadgets: Candidates are advised to not bring any electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, digital watches, calculators, etc. Candidates who will be found with any such gadgets at the time of checking will not be allowed to continue with their XAT exams and will be debarred from the exam.

Stick to your XAT exam strategy: Candidates must stick with the strategy devised after analysing the XAT exam pattern and syllabus. It has been provided by the authorities that with the completion of 175 minutes of the XAT exam, the timer will reach zero and Part 1 will be locked for the candidates. Then, the candidates will be moved to Part 2 and then Part 3, of the XAT exam which are the General Knowledge & Essay sections of the Question Paper. XAT aspirants will also not be allowed to leave the XAT test lab before the completion of the exam.
