XLRI Jamshedpur, DoPT launch 2 hybrid courses in public policy, HRM; apply by June 30

Xavier School of Management (XLRI) Jamshedpur has launched two one-year long hybrid programmes: Public Policy and Sustainable Leadership (PPSL) and Public Human Resources Management (PHRM). The courses have been designed in collaboration with the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).

Working professionals from civil services, corporates, non-governmental organisations (NGO), and development sectors are eligible to apply for these courses at XLRI Jamshedpur. Those interested can apply for admission till June 30, 2025, on the XLRI official website. The programmes are scheduled to commence from July 28.

The XLRI programmes have been designed for employed professionals, with online weekend classes, and two campus immersions. Each of the programmes will include 180 hours of instructional classes. The PPSL course will have six modules of 30 hours each, while the PHRM course will have three modules of 60 hours each.

XLRI Jamshedpur hybrid courses

Group ‘A’ government officials will find these courses at XLRI to be sponsored by the government of India. Along with a flexible schedule, participants will find the courses being taught by XLRI faculty members as well as industry leaders and practitioners. Towards the end of the courses, a formal convocation ceremony will be held.

“These programmes reflect XLRI’s commitment to developing visionary leaders for public service and sustainable governance through advanced education, ethical grounding and practical exposure,” stated MG Jomon, professor, XLRI and programme director of PHRM; and Kalyan Bhaskar, associate professor, XLRI and programme director of PPSL.

According to an official statement, this initiative aims to strengthen the leadership pipeline for public institutions and bring together perspectives from business and governance to craft future-ready policies and institutions.
