1,718 vacancies in police department to be filled soon: Uttarakhand Chief Minister
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced that the sports university to be established in the state has been named after Maharana Pratap.

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday announced that recruitment to 1,718 posts in the police department will be made soon. These include 1,521 posts of constables and 197 posts of sub-inspectors, he said.
Soon after assuming charge as chief minister in July, Dhami had said giving jobs to the youths will be his first priority.
"Providing maximum employment opportunities to the youth is the priority of our government. In this sequence, like other departments, an order has been issued to start recruitment on the vacant posts of Police Department. Strong youth are the basis of a prosperous state,"

He also inaugurated 'Eklavya Residential School' in Khatima. The chief minister said, "This was my dream project for my constituency. It was my dream to have a wonderful school in Khatima for the children of the tribal community like Tharu, which was completed today."
In addition, he also made several announcements for Khatima assembly constituency, including the construction of Maharana Pratap Administrative Academy training centre in Khatima, sports university to be established in the state has been named after Maharana Pratap.
In October, the Uttarakhand education department proposed a plan to give monthly scholarship of Rs 2,500 to the top 100 students - 70 from Uttarakhand Board of School Education (UBSE) and the rest 30 from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) of Class 12 for a period of five years.
