NEW DELHI: The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) has announced a total of 2.27 candidates registered for the Karnataka 2nd PUC 2025 exam 2. Over 70 thousand students who qualified for exam 1 are reappearing to improve their scores in the Karnataka 2nd PUC 2025 exam 2.

According to The Indian Express reports, 1.57 lakhs students who did not pass one or more subjects in exam 1 are reappearing to pass those subjects, says school education minister Madhu Bangarappa.

There is an increase of 42,000 students who appeared for improvement in last year's 2nd PUC exam.

The school education minister Madhu Bangarappa said, “This rise reflects growing awareness of the three-exam system and the importance of higher marks for competitive entrance exams and college admissions. More importantly, the Karnataka Examination Authority had deferred CET results and had agreed to announce them after the PUC Exam 2 results were announced. Due to this, more candidates registered for Exam 2. Therefore, candidates can now choose the best of the two scores from Exam 1 or 2 for CET, to achieve better rankings.”

The Karntaka 2nd PUC 2025 exam 2 will be held from April 24 to May 8. The exam 2 timetable was announced right after the exam 1 result announcement.

Additionally, this year, unlike the previous year, KSEAB has exempted female students of all categories and male students from SC, ST, category groups 1 from paying the exam fee for exams 2 and 3 as repeaters.
