IAF has extended the AFCAT 02/2026 application deadline, giving aspirants additional time to apply for 379 vacancies

Free DownloadThe Indian Air Force (IAF) has extended the last date of registration for the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 02/2026 recruitment. Candidates can now apply for this recruitment till June 21, 2026 on the official portal of AFCAT at afcat.edcil.co.in. Earlier, the last date to apply was June 19, 2026.

The AFCAT 2026 examination is scheduled to be conducted on August 8, 2026. Candidates selected through the recruitment process will commence their training from the first week of July 2027, as per the official schedule.
Candidates appearing before the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) for the first time may be entitled to reimbursement of travel expenses, subject to the eligibility conditions specified in the official notification. The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 379 vacancies through the AFCAT entry, NCC special entry and GATE score entry schemes across various branches of the IAF.

AFCAT 2026 Registration: Steps to apply
To submit the application form for the AFCAT 2026 exam, aspirants can follow the steps given below:
- Visit the official AFCAT portal at afcat.cdac.in
- Open the AFCAT 2026 registration link available on the homepage
- Complete the registration process with the required details
- Fill in the application form carefully with personal and academic information
- Upload the prescribed documents in the specified format
- Pay the application fee through the available online payment modes
- Review all entered details, submit the application form and download the confirmation copy for future reference
The selection process includes multiple stages, including AFCAT written examination, AFSB interview, document verification, physical fitness test, medical examination, and final merit list.

AFCAT Registration 2026: Application fees
Candidates applying through the AFCAT entry route are required to pay an application fee of Rs 550 plus applicable GST, which is non-refundable. The fee is applicable only to AFCAT entry applicants, while candidates applying through the NCC special entry or GATE score entry routes are exempt from paying any application fee. Applicants can make the payment online using credit card, debit card or net banking.
