NEW DELHI: The Bar Council of India (BCI) has released the detailed schedule for the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) XVI (16) 2021. As per the revised schedule, AIBE XVI (16) 2021 will now be conducted on October 24, in pen and paper format (offline). Previously, AIBE was scheduled to be held on April 25.

The AIBE 2021 registration dates have also been extended. According to the schedule, candidates may now register for AIBE by September 15 and complete the fee payment by September 20. Before this, the deadline for registration was August 14.
AIBE XVI (16) will be the first of its kind since the exam is to be conducted in closed-book format . Candidates will be allowed to carry Bare Acts, the exact texts of laws, but no study material in the form of books or notes will be allowed inside the examination hall.
The council will issue AIBE admit cards to all the registered candidates on October 4. Registered candidates will be able to download their admit cards by logging into the AIBE portal.

The revised notification also adds that the council will have the right to extend the AIBE exam further in case of unavoidable circumstances. In such a case, no request for refund/ readjustment of fees will be entertained.
