AICTE Industry Fellowship Programme 2026 offers Rs 1 lakh stipend; registration ends on July 5

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has extended the application submission deadline for the Industry Fellowship Programme (IFP) 2026. As per the extended dates, the application can be submitted by July 5 at ifp.aicte.gov.in.

The AICTE IFP 2026 was launched to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry and improve industry-oriented teaching in technical institutions.

Under the programme, selected faculty members from AICTE-approved institutions will work with industry partners to gain practical exposure to real-world technologies, industrial processes, and workplace practices. AICTE said the initiative is aimed at aligning classroom teaching with evolving industry requirements and enhancing the quality of technical education.

Rs 1 lakh monthly stipend

One of the major highlights of the fellowship programme is the monthly fellowship amount of Rs 1 lakh. The fellowship includes Rs 75,000 from AICTE and Rs 25,000 from the industry partner. Faculty members will also continue to receive salary and benefits from their parent institutions during the fellowship period.

Interested candidates can apply till July 5, 2026, while the fellowship is scheduled to commence between July 20 and 25, 2026. The fellowship duration will be one year, although it may vary depending on the industry partner and project requirements.

AICTE Industry Fellowship 2026 benefits

According to AICTE, the programme will help faculty members gain practical knowledge of emerging technologies and industry practices in sectors such as artificial intelligence, manufacturing, healthcare technology, and other advanced technical fields.

The programme also aims to reduce the gap between classroom teaching and industry expectations by providing faculty members with direct industrial exposure.

Participants will spend a significant part of the fellowship duration working in industries to understand the latest technological developments and workplace practices.

AICTE Industry Fellowship 2026 eligibility criteria

To apply for the programme, candidates should be permanent faculty members of AICTE-recognised institutions and must have at least five years of full-time teaching experience.

The maximum age limit for applicants is under 50 years as of May 26, 2026. Contractual, visiting, temporary, and part-time faculty members are not eligible for the fellowship programme.

How to apply for AICTE IFP 2026

Candidates can apply for the fellowship programme through the official AICTE Industry Fellowship portal at ifp.aicte.gov.in.

Applicants are required to complete the online registration process, upload the required documents, and submit the application before the deadline.

Students and faculty members have been advised to carefully check eligibility criteria and fellowship details before applying.
