AICTE revises academic calendar; PGDM classes from August 2

NEW DELHI: All India Council for Technical Education, or AICTE, has revised the academic calendar 2021-2022 for standalone PGDM or PGCM institutions. These are management institutions unaffiliated to any university.

As per the new academic calendar, classes for existing and new students in standalone PGDM or PGCM institutions will commence from August 2. Earlier the date to start classes was July 1, 2021.

The last date for admission to PGDM or PGCM institutions has also been extended to August 11, 2021. Students who wish to withdraw admission from such institutions including a full refund will be able to do so by August 6.

There are no further changes in the AICTE academic calendar. The council has fixed the last day to grant affiliation by universities or board to technical institutions till July 15, 2021. Like last year, the changes in schedule have been forced by the COVID-19 pandemic.

AICTE new dates

Technical institutions, standalone PGDM/PGCM institutions, and institutes offering open and distance learning, or ODL, courses or online will be granted approval of the courses latest by June 30, 2021.

The last date for commencement of classes for existing students of technical courses is September 1, 2021. The last date of commencement of classes for first-year students of technical courses is till September 15, 2021.
