NEW DELHI: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) will close the registration window for Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET) 8 tomorrow, March 17. Interested candidates can apply for AIIMS NORCET 2025 through the official website of AIIMS at aiimsexams.ac.in.
The AIIMS NORCET prelims CBT for stage I exam is scheduled to be conducted on April 12. The Stage II will be held on May 2, 2025. Candidates will be selected based on two stages, the preliminary and the mains exam.
AIIMS NORCET 2025 eligibility criteria
1. Educational Qualification:
- Degree Requirement: Candidates must hold a BSc Nursing degree or an equivalent nursing qualification. The equivalent qualification refers to any nursing program or certification that is recognized as being comparable to a BSc Nursing degree by the relevant authorities or AIIMS.
- This ensures that only candidates with the necessary educational background in nursing can apply for the Nursing Officer position.
2. Age Limit: The age of candidates applying for AIIMS NORCET must fall between 18 to 30 years.
- 18 years is the minimum age required to apply, ensuring that candidates are legally adults and can handle the responsibilities of the role.
- 30 years is the maximum age limit, which is generally set to ensure a certain level of maturity and experience.
- Age Calculation: The age will be calculated as of the last date for the submission of the application form. This means that candidates need to check their age on that specific date to determine eligibility.
AIIMS NORCET 2025 application fee
The application fee for the AIMS NORCET 2025 is different based on the candidate's category. For General and OBC category candidates, the AIIMS NORCET 2025 application fee is Rs 3,000, while for candidates belonging to the SC/ST/EWS categories, the fee is Rs 2,400.
A total of 1,794 nursing officer vacancies will be filled in AIIMS NORCET 8 exam for 23 institutes including AIIMS and other colleges. As per the NORCET reservation criteria, 80% of the total seats are reserved for female candidates and 20% are male candidates. However, there’s no category-wise reservation for AIIMS NORCET exam.
