Allahabad University opens registration for CRET 2022 PhD admission

The last date for CRET 2022 registration is March 14 and the last date for fee payment and online form submission is March 15, 2023.
NEW DELHI: Allahabad University (AU) has started registrations for Combined Research Entrance Test (CRET) 2022. Candidates seeking admission to PhD courses at Allahabad University can register online through the official website-- allduniv.ac.in. While the last date for CRET 2022 registration is March 14, the last date for fee payment and online form submission is March 15, 2023.
According to the official university release, the CRET 2022 will be conducted for doctoral courses in 43 subjects with 709 seats out of which 316 seats are in university departments/centres and 393 seats in constituent colleges of Allahabad University. The entrance exam will be conducted offline as pen and paper-based at Prayagraj district only.
Allahabad University PhD admission eligibility
The candidates who have qualified NET/JRF are eligible to appear in CRET level 1 and level 2 examinations. However, the teacher candidate of the university or constituent colleges, army officers and international candidates are exempted from the CRET level 1 test, but they must appear in CRET level 2 test.
CRET 2022 Application fee
Candidates belonging to unreserved, OBC and EWS category will have to pay Rs 1,600 as application fee. While, candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwD candidates will have to pay Rs 800 as application fee.
CRET 2022 Exam pattern
CRET level 1 test will comprise of two papers-paper 1 and paper 2. Paper 1 will have 50 objective-type questions of two marks each. The question paper will consist of 25 objective-type questions from the research methodology and 25 questions will be subject-specific. While, paper 2 will be subjective with small, medium and long type questions. The total marks of both papers will be 300 and there will not be any negative marking.
