Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham announces 1-year online certificate course on Hindu Studies

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham will offer the students to study about the ancient sages, traditions, history, literature, and philosophies of Hinduism through this course.
NEW DELHI: Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has announced the online certificate programme on ‘Hindu Studies’. The one-year programme will offer students to study and learn about the ancient sages, traditions, history, literature, and philosophies of Hinduism.
Students will be to avail themselves of credit transfers as per the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 guidelines through the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) on completing the programme.
Interested participants can register for the ‘Hinduism Studies’ programme before the last date, November 23, 2023, and can reserve their spot by visiting the official website – amrita.edu.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham stated that the first group of the Hindu Studies programme will start on October 24, 2023. Students from diverse backgrounds can apply for the programme. As per the university, candidates should have proficiency in English to fully engage with the programme materials.
According to the university, the programme will equip the participants with the tools to integrate ancient spiritual and philosophical knowledge into their personal and societal lives.

Brahmachari Achyutāmṛta Chaitanya, principal of Amrita School of Spiritual and Cultural Studies said, “ Hinduism is an all-encompassing way of life gifted by the venerable seers of ancient India that continues to captivate and inspire the world with its timeless wisdom. Rooted in profound spiritual insights and imbued with eternal values like truth and dharma, Hinduism has provided humanity with a holistic approach to existence, revered as "Sanatana Dharma" – the eternal way of life.”
“ This course will help students embark on a transformative journey, delving deep into the heart of Hinduism, unravelling its mysteries, and discovering the profound treasures that lie within." further added the principal.
