BCECE 2019 scrapped; Admission to be done through JEE Main

NEW DELHI, JANUARY 10: After the announcement of BCECE 2019 going online; here comes another news from the end of Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB). As per the official notification released by the authorities, BCECE is scrapped from 2019 onwards. BCECEB will now no more conducting Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE) 2019. The admission to the various engineering programmes in the State of Bihar will be based on JEE Main 2019 merit list.
BCECEB used to conduct the BCECE to screen the candidates for admission to various B.Tech programmes offered by state colleges. However, with the released notification, it is clear that the admission to the State colleges will be done based on the JEE Main 2019 merit. Apart from this, no other information is released by the authorities.
Candidates at Loss
As National Testing Agency (NTA) is already conducting JEE Main 2019 for January session, candidates who have not applied for it have lost their chance. However, NTA will be conducting JEE Main 2019 again in April, still, candidates have lost their first chance to appear for the national level engineering entrance examination. Candidates who seeking admission in Bihar engineering colleges can apply for the JEE Main April 2019 from February 8 to March 7 in online mode.
