IIM CAT 2025 result today at iimcat.ac.in; percentile calculation

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode will announce the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025 results at 6 pm today. CAT final answer key 2025 was issued on December 17, and a total of 187 objections were raised, of which only 1 was accepted. As per the CAT marking scheme 2025, candidates will be awarded three marks for every correct answer, and one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

IIM Kozhikode conducted the CAT 2025 exam on November 30 at 339 test centres across 170 cities. Around 2.95 lakh had registered for the IIM CAT exam, of whom over 2.58 lakh candidates appeared.

This year, CAT saw a drop in attendance to approximately 86%, as compared to the previous year.

CAT Result 2025: How is percentile calculated?

The CAT percentile calculation will be done in four steps:

• The candidate’s score is evaluated section-wise, and then the overall score is evaluated by totalling the section-wise scores.
• Thereafter, the section-wise and overall scores (raw scores) are normalised to arrive at a scaled CAT score.
• The normalised scores are converted into percentiles, which are reported on the CAT scorecard 2025.

CAT Normalisation Process 2025

The CAT exam 2025 is conducted in different slots; therefore, a normalisation process is used for every candidate to bring equity to the marking process. The CAT score normalisation practice has been followed over the years to evaluate candidates’ performance across multiple sessions.

The parameters taken into consideration for CAT normalisation are listed as follows:

• Highest score
• Lowest score
• Mean score
• Median score
• Top 10 percentiles
• Lowest 10 percentiles

IIM Kozhikode conducted the CAT 2025 in three slots: sllot 1 was held from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, slot 2 from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm, and slot 3 from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. CAT 2025 paper consisted of three sections, including Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), Verbal Ability and reading comprehension (VARC), and quantitative Ability (QA), with a total of 68 questions and the exam pattern remained unchanged.
