BHU begins registration for MBA admission through CAT scores; eligibility

NEW DELHI: Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has begun the registration process for admission to the post-graduate management courses in business administration for the academic batch 2025-27. As per the official notice, candidates will get admission into Master of Business Administration (MBA) and MBA in International Business (MBA-IB) programmes based on their Common Admission Test (CAT) scores.
“The Admission Portal for the Registration and Counseling for Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Business Administration International Business (MBA- IB) through the CAT score for the academic session 2025-27 are live from 01.10.2024 and will be available till 03.01.2025,” the institute posted on X.
Eligible candidates seeking admission can fill out the application form through the official website, bhu.ac.in. The last date to apply for MBA admission is January 3, 2025. As per the official prospectus, the classes are tentatively scheduled to commence on July 14, 2025.
Candidates from the scheduled caste (SC) and scheduled tribe (ST) categories will have to pay an application fee of Rs 1,000 to register for the admission process. Candidates from other categories will need to pay an application fee of Rs 2,000.

BHU MBA Admission 2025: Eligibility
Candidates can check the eligibility criteria for admission to BA programmes at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) below.
Admission to the MBA and MBA in International Business (MBA IB) programmes will be based on a combined merit evaluation, which consists of the following components:

Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) (50%)

Academic records (20%)
-
Group discussion and personal interview (30%)
Candidates must have one of the following qualifications:

A graduate degree under the 10+2+3 pattern

A degree in Engineering, Technology, Agriculture, Medicine, Education, or Law
-
A postgraduate degree in any discipline
Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination must submit a certificate from their institution confirming their participation in the exam for the academic session 2024-25. If granted provisional admission, they must provide their qualifying examination mark sheet by October 5 of the admission year.
