BHU invites application for research event ‘Shodh Sangam’

The Institute of Science, BHU, will hold ‘Shodh Sangam’ for three days in February 2024 during the week of the National Science Day.
NEW DELHI: The Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), has invited applications for the research event ‘Shodh Sangam’. The event is an interdisciplinary research initiative that provides a platform for the researchers of the Institute of Science, BHU, to present their research, interact and collaborate with fellow researchers across their domains.
The BHU will hold ‘Shodh Sangam’ for three days in February 2024 during the week of the National Science Day. It will be held at Mahamana hall of the Institute of Science.
Registration fee
PhD scholars who are in third year or above and students pursuing post doctoral from all departments, schools and centres of the Institute of Science can register for the event. Research students will have to pay a registration fee of Rs 1500 while those pursuing postdoctoral will have to submit Rs 2,000 for registering at the event.

The Institute of Science (BHU) offers postgraduate programmes in 13 departments of physics, chemistry, life sciences, earth sciences and mathematical sciences. It also has a DBT-supported Interdisciplinary School of Life Sciences (ISLS), Centre for Genetic Disorders (CGD) and a DST-supported Centre for Interdisciplinary Mathematical Sciences (CIMS), which provides interdisciplinary cross-talk.

It has more than 320 faculty members in various departments. The institute maintains a high standard of research with the generous support of SAP programs from UGC and FIST, PURSE and SATHI programmes from DST for strengthening research infrastructure in its departments and through a large number of individual research grants to its faculty members from almost all the major funding agencies.
