BHU students selected for French government scholarship

The students will get to spend a total of seven months in different cities in France working as a language assistant.
NEW DELHI: Three students of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) got selected for a French government scholarship. Bansari Thakkar (research scholar), Rose Thomas (MA, 4th semester) and Samriti Jaswal (MA, 4th semester), department of French studies, have been awarded the prestigious Assistant d’anglais (English language assistant) scholarship 2023-24 of France.
The scholarship is fully funded and sponsored by the Ministry of Education, France and it is mobilized by the French Institute, the Embassy of France in India.

As per the official release, the selected students will get to spend a total of seven months in different cities in France working as language assistant with various public French schools and universities.
Earlier, a BHU research scholar named Saumya Singh got selected for United Nations (UN) training programme. She was one of the five candidates selected from over 100 participants from around the world to participate.
