Bihar Librarian Eligibility Test 2026: BSEB to conduct 150-mark CBT with no negative marking. Registration deadline October 21
The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has announced the School Librarian Eligibility Test 2026 application form dates. As per the press note, the Bihar Librarian eligibility test applications will be accepted from October 1 to October 21, 2026. Candidates will have to apply through the official website, sletregistration.cbrt.co.in.
The Bihar School Librarian Eligibility Test 2026 will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode. The exam will carry a total of 150 marks and will have a duration of 150 minutes, or two-and-a-half hours.

Bihar School Librarian Eligibility Test 2026
Applicants must be residents of Bihar. Candidates are required to have a bachelor's degree with 45% marks, along with a bachelor's degree in Library Science from a recognised university. The eligibility criteria provide a 5 percentage-point relaxation in marks for certain categories, as stated in the notification.
The board also provides an age-limit relaxation of 10 years for candidates of all categories.
Bihar School Librarian Eligibility Test 2026: Exam pattern
The question paper will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs), with each question carrying one mark. There will be no negative marking.
The Library Science section will carry 100 marks, while 50 marks will be based on general knowledge. The syllabus will follow the curriculum prescribed for the bachelor's degree in Library Science at recognised universities in Bihar.
