BPSC: Bihar Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari made the announcement and assured that the state govt is actively taking steps to fill vacant teacher positions in the education sector

Bihar Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari has announced that the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) will issue the notification for the fourth phase of the Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE-4) in July. The minister has brought new hope to thousands of teaching aspirants across the state, after a prolonged delay, waiting for the TRE 4 notification.
According to the Times of India report, during the minister’s visit to Khagaria, while speaking to journalists, he stated that the state government is firmly committed to the teacher recruitment drive and is actively taking steps to fill vacant positions in the education sector.
He also encouraged aspiring government teachers to remain focused on their preparation, assuring them that the official recruitment notification and related details would be announced shortly.

In May, aspirants preparing for the TRE 4 exam staged a protest in Patna, demanding the immediate release TRE 4.0 notification. The demonstration held outside Patna College quickly escalated after police attempted to disperse the protesters, resulting in a clash between students and security personnel.
Candidates alleged that the delay in the issuance of the TRE 4.0 notice has led to growing uncertainty among aspirants.
In addition to demanding the release of TRE 4.0, they also raised concerns regarding the recruitment framework and pay structure. Protesters argued that the lengthy selection process requires candidates to invest considerable time, money, and effort, placing an additional burden on aspiring teachers.
Earlier in April, a fake TRE 4 notification was circulated on social media stating that registrations will open on April 25 and exams will be held in September to fill 46,882 teacher posts.
The Bihar TRE-4 examination was tentatively scheduled to be held from December 16 to December 19, 2025, while the results were expected to be declared between January 20 and January 24, 2026. The recruitment drive was projected to offer approximately 26,000 to 27,000 teaching vacancies across the state.
BPSC conducts the TRE exam for the recruitment of permanent teachers in government schools across Bihar at the primary, middle, secondary, and senior secondary levels.
