As per the ICAI CA Foundation result statistics for September 2024, male candidates achieved a slightly higher pass rate at 20.47%, with 7,732 out of 37,774 candidates passing. Female candidates had a pass rate of 18.76%, with 6,126 passing out of the 32,663 who appeared for the exam.

The CA Foundation result for June 2024 shows that a total of 91,900 candidates appeared for the exam, with 13,749 passing, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 14.96%. Among male candidates, 49,580 appeared, of which 7,766 cleared the exam, giving a pass percentage of 15.66%. For female candidates, 42,380 appeared, with 5,983 passing, leading to a pass percentage of 14.14%.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced that from June 2024, the Intermediate and Foundation course exams will be held thrice a year—in May or June, September, and January. Previously, these exams were conducted twice annually.
