How to prepare for CAT Quantitative Ability (QA)- Tips

Draw a clear cut strategy

Prior to starting preparation, one should make a separate time table for the CAT Quantitative Ability section. In the beginning of CAT preparation, candidates should devote 2-3 hours to the QA section.

Do not attempt tricky questions at beginning

One should start with basics so that they can build confidence level while preparing for the CAT Quantitative Ability section. Solving complex questions in the beginning will lead them to lose their focus level.

Do mental calculation as much as one can

While attempting QA questions one should keep a note of all the formulas pertaining to CAT Quantitative Ability section. Apart from that, candidates should do mental calculation as much as they can, through this candidates can save time on the day of examination.

Work on weak areas

When a candidate starts their CAT Quant preparation, they can easily analyse their strong and weak areas. Candidates are advised to if they are devoting 3 hours per day to CAT QA section then most of the time they should practice such questions which they find difficult to solve.
