- Indian Institute of Management has laid down the dress code for the candidates who will appear for the Common Admission Test which will be conducted in computer-based mode on November 29 in three slots. According to the CAT 2020 dress code, there are certain types of clothes and jewellery which the candidates are not allowed to wear on the day of the exam.

CAT 2020 Dress Code - What not to wear on exam day?
According to the guidelines which have been laid down by IIM Indore in the CAT admit card, candidates will not be allowed to be allowed to wear the following:

Shoes/footwear with thick soles

Garments with large buttons are also not allowed
-
Clothes with pockets are not permitted
-
Earrings, necklaces, nose pins, anklets, bangles or any other metallic ornaments
-
Do not apply mehendi or henna on your hand as it will create problem if biometric is being taken
CAT 2020 exam day Guidelines
Apart from what to wear and what not to wear on the CAT 2020 exam day, candidates are expected to follow certain other instructions such as :

Carry the hard copy of the CAT admit card along with one’s image

Carry valid photo identity proof
-
Cooperate with the authorities for temperature check
-
Bags, electronic gadgets are prohibited inside the test centre.

Make sure that the self-declaration form related to COVID 19 is filled and provided to the authorities on CAT 2020 exam day
-
Maintain discipline at the test centre
-
Do not disturb other candidates

CAT is conducted for those candidates who want to pursue their career in the field of management. CAT score is used by the IIMs for shortlisting of candidates for the next round of the selection process.
