CAT application 2021 released at iimcat.ac.in; Know eligibility, fees and registration process here

NEW DELHI - Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad has released the CAT 2021 application form today, August 4, at 10:00 am. The CAT exam form 2021 is available in online mode on the official website if IIM CAT 2021 iimcat.ac.in. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for CAT 2021 till September 15.

While filling the application form of CAT 2021, candidates belonging to the General category will have to pay Rs 2200 as application fee while reserved category candidates will have to pay Rs 1100. This year, the CAT application fee increased by 10 percent.Candidates can pay the CAT exam fee by using debit/ credit card or net banking. Candidates are advised to check the CAT eligibility criteria before filling the application of CAT 2021.

Changes in CAT Registration 2021

• IIM Ahmedabad has increased the CAT exam fee from Rs 2,000 to Rs 2,200 for unreserved category and for reserved category the revised CAT exam fee is Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,100/-

• CAT 2021 will be conducted in 158 exam cities. This year, there is an addition of two new CAT exam cities.

  • Added CAT test cities - Madgaon (Goa) and Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh)

• Candidates interested in filling CAT exam registration form 2021 should have completed their bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

• Qualifying marks- Unreserved category needs to secure 50 percent mark in graduation in total aggregate. There is a relaxation of 5 percent marks for candidates who belong to the reserved category.

• Those who are wishing to appear for CAT 2021 and pursuing their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply for the CAT entrance test.

• There is no age bar set by IIM Ahmedabad to appear for CAT 2021.

How to fill CAT application form 2021

To successfully submit the CAT 2021 application form, candidates can refer to the following steps.

Step 1- Visit the official website of CAT 2021 and click on the “New Registration” tab

Step 2- Fill all the required details and generate login details (CAT login ID and Password)

Step 3- Re-login by entering the credentials and fill CAT application form 2021

Step 4- Upload all the required scanned documents

Step 5- Pay the application fee for CAT 2021

Step 6- Submit the CAT 2021 application form and take a printout of it for future reference

What after CAT 2021 application process?

After the closing of the CAT 2021 application window, authorities will start the CAT application form correction window for those candidates who want to modify their entered details submitted in the CAT registration form. After the conclusion of the CAT correction window, IIM Ahmedabad will release the CAT 2021 admit card. Registered candidates can download CAT admit card by entering the CAT login credentials which they have created in the CAT application process.

About CAT 2021

IIMs annually conducts Common Admission Test (CAT) on a rotational basis to offer admission into IIMs and other top B-schools of India in the management domain. IIM Ahmedabad has released a CAT notification on July 29 in online mode. CAT 2021 will be held on November 28 and the result will be announced in the second week of January 2022. Post declaration of CAT result, candidates will have to apply to the respective IIMs by visiting their official website and shortlisted candidates will have to appear for selection rounds.
