NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta has released the Common Admission Test (CAT) final answer key 2024 today, December 17. Candidates who appeared for the CAT exam 2024 will be able to download CAT 2024 final answer key from the official website, iimcat.ac.in. CAT result 2024 will be declared next. Aspirants will have to use their login credentials such as user ID and password in order to download the final CAT answer key 2024. With the help of the final answer key, students will be able to calculate their scores in CAT 2024.
There are no changes in the CAT final answer key. "The objection management exercise was opened during December 3, 2024 to December 5, 2024. The CAT centre received a total of 405 objections across 3 sections and 3 shifts. The panels of sectional review experts for CAT 2024 reviewed all the objections which were received during this window. IIMC released the provisional answer key on December 3. Candidates were allowed to raise objections against the CAT 2024 answer key till December 5," reads the official notice.
CAT 2024 exam was conducted on November 24 in three shifts – slot 1 from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, slot 2 from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm, and slot 3 from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Around 3.29 lakh candidates registered for the MBA entrance exam while 2.93 lakh took the test.
CAT exam this year saw changes in the exam pattern, with the total number of questions increasing from 66 to 68, and addition of two questions in the Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC) section. The CAT 2024 question paper comprised three sections including Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability (QA).

As per the CAT exam analysis 2024, slot 2 was more difficult than slot 1 exam. Overall, candidates rated this year's exam easier as compared to last year. CAT 2024 scores will be used for admission to IIMs and participating B-schools.
