The Indian Institute of Management Lucknow has successfully conducted the CAT 2023 slot 2 exam. The exam commenced at 12:30 PM and ended at 2:30 PM. The CAT slot 2 exam was based on the same CAT exam pattern of the previous year. The CAT 2023 slot 2 was moderately difficult as reported by candidates who appeared for the exam. Candidates also mentioned that the Quantitative Aptitude section was somewhat more challenging than others.

CAT 2023 slot 2 analysis
The number of questions were exactly the same in both the slots. CAT slot 2 also had 24 questions from the VARC section, 20 questions from DILR and 22 questions from the QA sections. The only difference that can be seen between them is the difficulty level of the exam as DILR was moderately difficult and quant was doable. Students reported that algebra had more than 8 questions in this slot. Some students also found VARC to be difficult.

CAT Slot 2 Analysis: Key Points
As per the CAT slot 2 analysis and students' reaction the CAT slot 2 exam was moderate to difficult. The paper was lengthy and had a lot of calculations involved.
CAT slot 2 analysis- VARC section

The difficulty level of the VARC section of the CAT slot 2 exam was easy to moderate.

As per the CAT 2023 slot 2 analysis, the VARC section was slightly difficult as compared to previous years.

There were 4 RC passages, 2 questions from para completion and 4 questions from para jumbles.
CAT slot 2 analysis- DILR section

The DILRI section of the CAT slot 2 exam was doable as per the candidates appearing for CAT 2023.

The DILR section of CAT slot 2 was moderately difficult again.

There was 1 set having questions from medians and boxes which was lengthy apart from that all other sets were doable.

There were no questions from Venn diagrams, linear questions, games and tournaments.
CAT slot 2 analysis- QA section

As per the CAT slot 2 analysis, the QA section was moderate.

14-15 questions in CAT slot 2 QA section were doable and 1 sequence and series question was difficult.

The CAT slot 2 exam had more arithmetic questions than slot 1. Algebra had more than 8 questions.

A few questions were from geometry, 2 from sequence and series, 1 from logarithm along with time, distance, work and number questions.
CAT 2023 slot 2 review: Student’s reaction
As per Parth, a CAT aspirant who appeared for the CAT 2023 slot 2 exam, found difficulty solving the DILR section but the VARC section was quite easy for him. Shivani, who appeared for the CAT exam for the second time stated that she felt the CAT slot 2 exam was quite easy but faced obstacles while solving the QA section. The majority of the CAT aspirants faced difficulty in solving the Quantitative Aptitude section of the CAT 2023 exam as the calculations were very time-consuming.
Official CAT answer key 2023 is likely to be released in the first week of December. Once available, candidates will be able to download the CAT 2023 answer key along with the response sheet from the CAT website - iimcat.ac.in.
